By then, Tiger fans will have taken vacations, attended barbeques, laid out on the beach, all the while starving for the day that Clemson football comes back. The summer may be one of the most exciting seasons of the year, but it may be least exciting, from a football standpoint, as it always leaves College Football fans, writers, broadcasters, and so forth counting down the days until the fall begins.

Fansided Daily

FanSided Daily brings you the hottest content on your favorite teams. There is nothing like, from a Clemson perspective, spending a weekend in “God’s Country,” tailgating, spending time with family and friends, and then making our way into Death Valley to see our Tigers play. Each one of those Saturdays, over 80,000 pile into the stadium, see the balloons fly, watch our Tigers run down the hill, and cheer them on to victory. In the off-season, we over-analyze every single detail of the program, but sometimes I think we forget just how amazing it is when College Football season arrives.

There are only a total of seven Saturdays throughout the fall that you can see Clemson play in Death Valley. Clemson will host Wofford and Appalachian State the first two weeks of the season. Both of these games are at 12:30 p.m. and I know that a part of Tiger Nation will not show up for these games. I understand things come up, and I’m also not saying the stadium is not full, all I am saying is don’t take these games for granted. Yes, these will both likely be blowouts, at least we hope so from a Clemson point of view, and you may not see Deshaun Watson for more than a quarter, but it is still 2/7 (or 29%) of the home season. If you cannot make the game, I still encourage you to watch and here is why: This team is special.

More from Rubbing the Rock

Tiger fans do a great job of filling the Valley up week after week, but this year we should do it more so. In addition to coming to the games, I would greatly encourage you to save your ticket stubs because this may be a year that Tiger fans look back at and say, “That was the year.” Clemson’s ceiling for this year is unknown, but there are likely scenarios where your Tigers are competing in the College Football Playoffs. Don’t miss one chance you have to see this team. I may be just “drinking the kool-aid”, but I truly believe this team, barring injury, can be special.

With that being said, here is my challenge for you this season: When the football season finally does come around, take advantage of every opportunity you get to see your Tigers play. Now, before I go on any further, I’m not saying to abandon your family or responsibilities, or misplace your priorities. College Football is made for entertainment purposes, but what I am saying, is enjoy it while it is here when it comes. Take advantage of the memories made at the games and have a great time with your family and friends, whether in Clemson, South Carolina or at home watching from the television.

In 112 days, let’s have Death Valley rocking. Every single one of those Seven Saturdays, let’s make sure the opponent knows we are Tiger Nation and they’re in for a tough day.

What are your thoughts on the team this year, Clemson Nation?
