It was tied for 11th best odds in the nation and ESPN called Watson’s odds a “good buy.”
“Some of the cautious handicapping is justified,” ESPN’s Travis Haney said about Watson. “When Watson was on the field, he showed as a freshman that he is as purely talented as any quarterback in the country. But staying on the field was an issue. First it was a collarbone in the spring, then a hand injury, then — the worst — a torn ACL. Watson is expected to be a go by preseason camp, but he has to shake that injury-prone tag to make 20-1 a value. He is as intriguing a choice as there is on the board, however.”
In his rookie campaign, Watson completed 67.9% of his passes for 1,466 yards (10.7 per attempt) with 14 touchdowns and only two interceptions for a tremendous quarterback rating of 188.57. He also had five scores rushing. Another superlative is that he had a nation’s best 10.7 yards per pass attempt.
Watson should be ready to go from his torn ACL for fall practice in August.
ESPN also listed Cody Kessler (12-1), Seth Russell (33-1), Jared Goff (50-1) and Scooby Wright (66-1) as good buys but to avoid betting on quarterbacks – Everett Golson (14-1), Braxton Miller (25-1) and Justin Thomas (33-1).

Click below for the full article
ESPN discusses Watson's Heisman odds
Source: TigerNet Updates

ESPN discusses Watson’s Heisman odds Watson had 14 TD’s and only 2 interceptions as a freshman Clemson quarterback Deshaun WatsonDeshaun WatsonSo.
