Audra Smith\u2019s women\u2019s basketball team had its best-ever grade point average in a semester on record with a 2.89 team average in the spring. Team grade point average records date to the fall 1987 (28 years). The program also claimed a 2013-14 Academic Progress Rate score of 980 out of 1000. Seven members of the program earned Honor Roll (3.0) or higher GPAs during the semester.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so proud of our program,\u201d said Smith. \u201cThis is a testament to the hard work by our student-athletes. We set a high standard in this program academically. I want to thank our advisor Luke Fieser, along with the rest of the Vickery Hall staff, for helping our group of women achieve this historical mark. This sends a powerful message to our seven incoming players of the standards that we are setting. I look forward to challenging the team to go even higher as we continue to set our building blocks in place.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the most recent academic year, each of the Tiger seniors, Nikki Dixon and Chelsea Lindsay, earned their respective degrees in May as well. Dixon, Clemson\u2019s fifth all-time leading scorer, tallied a 3.30 in her final semester, while Lindsay made the Dean\u2019s List with a 3.66.<\/p>\n
