After a wild season, Clemson has been selected to compete in the NCAA baseball tournament. The Tigers will be the third seed in the Fullerton Regional, on the campus of NCAA baseball powerhouse Cal State Fullerton.

\nArizona State-\u00a0The Sun Devils\u00a0will be making their 38th postseason appearance. This is not the first time the Tigers and\u00a0Devils have\u00a0tangled in the post season. In 2009, the\u00a0ASU swept Clemson in the Tempe Super Regional. The next season, Clemson\u00a0got revenge against ASU with a 6-3 win over the #1 ranked Sun Devils in the\u00a0final College World Series to be held at Rosenblatt, which was Clemson’s last trip to Omaha. Offensively,\u00a0ASU is led by Outfielder Trever\u00a0Allen. The Senior from Tempe leads the team with a .345 batting average and is in the top 5 of most offensive categories.
\nCal State Fullerton- Those unfamiliar with college baseball may\u00a0not know much about the Titans. CSUF has a proud history of baseball, having 16 appearances in\u00a0Omaha, winning 4 championships. The most recent one was in 2004, when they had future major leaguers Vinnie Pestano, Ricky Romero, and Kurt Suzuki on the roster. These many\u00a0trips to the College World Series have\u00a0led many Titans fans to\u00a0wear\u00a0t-shirts emblazoned with the words “Cal State Omaha.” The Titans\u00a0are coached by Rick Vanderhook, who is in his third year leading the program
\nPepperdine-\u00a0The Fullerton regional could provide\u00a0Clemson with its first chance to play the Waves of Pepperdine in baseball. Pepperdine makes the tournament\u00a0this year\u00a0by winning the West Coast Conference Championship. Pepperdine is located in Malibu, CA, and is a private\u00a0university affiliated with the Church of Christ. Pepperdine won the 1992 College World<\/p>\n
