The summer recruiting season is in full-swing. Unfortunately, real, live college football is still several months away.
\nWith that in mind, TheClemsonInsider is taking a look back at the recruitment of each returning player on the Clemson roster.
\nLB Dorian O\u2019Daniel, Olney, Md. \u2013 Redshirt Sophomore
\nO\u2019Daniel\u2019s first visit to Clemson was in March of 2012 for junior day. He was joined by teammate Kendall Fuller, who went on to sign with Virginia Tech.
\nClemson immediately vaulted to the top of O\u2019Daniel\u2019s list after the visit. Michigan, Tennessee, South Carolina and Ohio State received consideration before he returned a month later for the spring game.
\nNot long after the Orange and White game wrapped up, O\u2019Daniel committed to Clemson.
\n\u201cI got that good feeling. I realized this was where I needed to be. I\u2019ve been to a couple of schools and didn\u2019t get that same feeling I got from Clemson. Deep down in my heart I knew it was the place to be.\u201d
\nBefore taking over as the defensive coordinator at Clemson, Brent Venables recruited O\u2019Daniel to Oklahoma. He, of course, continued to do so after arriving to Tigertown in January of 2012.
\nFor Clemson, wide receivers coach Jeff Scott served as O\u2019Daniel\u2019s lead recruiter.
\nThe Army All-American never wavered from his pledge to sign with Clemson.
\nScout, Rivals, 247 and ESPN all rated O\u2019Daniel as a four-star prospect. Rivals ranked him as the No. 106 overall player in the class of 2013.<\/p>\n
