Heyward-Bey is taking a mentoring role in helping Bryant with the details of the position during Steelers’ OTAs.
\n“Martavis has a chance, talent-wise, to be the best to ever play.\u201d Heyward-Bey told Pittsburgh Sports. “He has the potential to be extremely special.”
\n“I see him putting in the work now,” Heyward-Bey said. “He\u2019s starting to figure out what it means to be a professional. That\u2019s important. Before, he was the man in college. Now this is his job. He gets that now. He\u2019s starting to understand life in a different way.”
\nBryant spent his offseason doing MMA training and working out with Roethlisberger and several teammates in Georgia.
\nHe had 26 catches for 549 yards (21.1 YPC) and eight touchdowns in his rookie season (9 games, started 3). The eight touchdowns were tied for fourth most among NFL rookies and he was only the eighth Steeler’s rookie to reach 500 yards.[embedded content]<\/p>\n
