Four-star cornerback Kyle Meyers put together an offer-worthy performance on Monday afternoon at the Dabo Swinney Football Camp.
\nDefensive backs coach Mike Reed told Meyers after the afternoon session that Clemson was ready to jump on board with an offer.
\n\u201cI\u2019m just waiting on the call from coach Mike, he told me I got the offer,\u201d Meyers said, during an interview with TheClemsonInsider on Monday night, before he tweeted about Clemson\u2019s offer.
\n\u201cYeah, it went good working with him.\u201d
\nIt \u201cwas huge\u201d to add Clemson to his offer sheet, which includes Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Utah.
\n\u201cA school like Clemson, it\u2019s a great school, a winning program and it was a big offer,\u201d Meyers said.
\nThe New Orleans-Holy Cross rising senior did get a quick peak at Clemson before wrapping up his first visit. Meyers was invited back to see more at next month\u2019s All-In Cookout, but he isn\u2019t sure if he\u2019ll make it back for the annual event.
\nOn Thursday, Meyers is scheduled hit the field for the Florida State coaches, with an eye on receiving an offer from the Seminoles. Late last week, he recorded a 37-inch vertical jump and a 4.3 in the 40 at the Ole Miss camp, which prompted their offer.
\nFlorida State is the last stop that he\u2019s scheduled for the summer.
\n\u201cI\u2019m looking somewhere that treats me well, the coaches. The area surrounding the university,\u201d Meyers said.
\nReed certainly made a good impression on Monday.
\n\u201cHe\u2019s a great coach. He showed me some new things that I didn\u2019t know. He\u2019s a great coach and knows what he\u2019s doing,\u201d Meyers said.
\nAs a junior, he had three interceptions.<\/p>\n
