Today we continue our series on the best players Clemson will face this fall. With matchups against Louisville, Miami, Notre Dame, Florida State, South Carolina and Georgia Tech on the schedule the Tigers face one of the toughest slates in the country.
\nSo who are some of the best players the Tigers will see? Today we examine the wide receivers.
\nPharoh Cooper, South Carolina
\nHow he did last season? He caught 69 passes for 1,136 yards and nine touchdowns.
\nWhy is he ranked here? Cooper is a big-play threat that can take the ball the distance anytime he gets his hands on it. He had an 85-yard scoring play last year. He also threw two touchdown passes from the Wildcat formation and rushed for 200 more yards and two scores from the same formation.
\nWill Fuller, Notre Dame
\nHow he did last season? He caught 76 passes for 1,094 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2014.
\nWhy is he ranked here? He made at least five receptions in nine games and his 15 touchdowns set an Irish record.
\nMalachi Jones, App State
\nHow he did last season? Jones caught 36 passes for 585 yards and three touchdowns.
\nWhy is he ranked here? He is a big frame wide receiver that stands at 6-2, 210-pounds.
\nJames Quick, Louisville
\nHow he did last season? He caught 36 passes for 566 yards and three touchdowns.
\nWhy he is ranked here? Quick suffered a lot of drops last season and did not quite live up to the expectations that were placed on him when the season began.
\nTravis Rudolph, Florida State
\nHow he did last season? He caught 38 passes for 555 yards and 4 touchdowns.
\nWhy is he ranked here? He is a tall and slender athlete that knows how to go up and get the ball. Rudolph stands 6-2, 187 pounds.
\nSteve Ishmael, Syracuse
\nHow he did last season? He hauled in 27 passes for 415 yards and scored 3 TDs.
\nWhy is he ranked here? He will be Syracuse\u2019s top downfield threat. He has good hands and does a great job of making something out of nothing.
\nBra\u2019Lon Cherry, NC State
\nHow he did last season? He caught 27 passes for 354 yards and three touchdowns.
\nWhy is he ranked here? He is their best returning playmaker on a squad that right now has no proven playmakers at wide receiver. Last year\u2019s leading receiver Bo Hines (46-616) transfer at the end of last season.
\nJared Crump, Wake Forest
\nHow he did last season? He caught 32 passes for 339 yards and a touchdown.
\nWhy is he ranked here? He provides the Demon Deacons with a big target on the outside.
\nDan Crimmins, Boston College
\nHow he did last season? He caught 25 passes for 305 yards.
\nWhy is he ranked here? Crimmins, tight end \/ wide receiver, is a big target at 6-5, 237 pounds. He was second on the team in receptions last year.
\nWill Irwin, Wofford
\nHow they did last season? He led the Terriers with 19 receptions for 289 yards and two touchdowns.
\nWhy they are ranked here? The Terriers simply don\u2019t throw the football.
\nStacey Coley, Miami
\nHow he did last season? He caught 23 passes for 184 yards.
\nWhy is he ranked here? He had a disappointing sophomore season after earning Freshman All-American honors in 2013.
\nMichael Summers, Georgia Tech
