Offers starting to flow out of Swinney\u2019s camp during second day<\/a> \u2014 David Hood, Tigernet<\/p>\n

CLEMSON \u2013 The offers are beginning to flow out at Dabo Swinney<\/a>\u2019s high school, and a player that has ties to the coaching staff picked up his first offer Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Jake Venables<\/a>, the 2018 linebacker prospect out of Central (SC) Daniel and son of defensive coordinator Brent Venables<\/a> was stopped by head coach Dabo Swinney early in Tuesday\u2019s session. Venables broke out in a smile after his conversation with Swinney, exchanged a few pleasantries with his dad and later announced that Clemson had offered.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

RTR Spotlight: Tyshon Dye<\/a> \u2014 Andrew Boardwine, RTR<\/p>\n

Tyshon Dye was one of the most highly-touted running backs coming out of high school just a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, things have not gone his way as he has been injury-plagued up until late last season as he battled his way back to see limited playing time in the last three or four games of the season. He showed what he is capable of in the Georgia State game when he rushed for 124 yards on 20 carries and had two touchdowns<\/a> and looked good in some of his time here at Clemson.[fsdaily]<\/p>\n

He is a power-runner and Clemson may rely on him as a situational runner this year. With Deshaun Watson not being able to run the ball as much, he may be relied on to pickup first downs on 3rd down and short situations. He is a north-south runner and, if healthy, could be one of those backs that could carry the ball 20-plus times in a game.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Tigers set to compete in NCAAs<\/a> \u2014 Press Release<\/p>\n

CLEMSON, S.C. \u2014 A group of 20 Clemson athletes traveled to Eugene, Ore., to compete in the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Wednesday through Saturday at Oregon\u2019s Hayward Field.<\/p>\n

The ESPN family of networks will televise the action each night, a first in NCAA Track & Field Championships history. The meet also features a different format for 2015, with men\u2019s action on Wednesday and Friday, and women\u2019s events Thursday and Saturday.
