Clemson Football: TE Analysis<\/a> \u2014 Andrew Boardwine, RTR<\/p>\n

The tight end situation is a question-mark at best. On paper, it is one of the deepest positions on the field as you boast eight players at that position, but injuries have plagued that spot for the past couple of seasons. Last season, the depth, along with the blocking was tested so much, the staff decided to move defensive end Roderick Byers over to the tight end spot, where he ended up playing 19 snaps in goal line and short yardage situations. It\u2019s tough to know what you\u2019re going to get out of this group, but it is a group of athletes that have all shown promising talent at times, but must work on their consistency if they\u2019re going to be effective this season.<\/p>\n

Mystery prospect creates a buzz at Swinney\u2019s morning sessions<\/a> \u2014 David Hood, Tigernet<\/p>\n

The third day of Dabo Swinney<\/a>\u2019s high school camp wrapped up Wednesday morning, but it wasn\u2019t without its share of activity. Prior to the start of the session \u2013 as the players were warming up inside the indoor practice facility \u2013 a new camper at the back of the line turned a lot of heads.<\/div>\n

Okey First-Team All-American<\/a> \u2014 Brian Hennessy, Clemson Athletic Communications<\/p>\n

CLEMSON, S.C. \u2013 Sophomore catcher Chris Okey<\/a> (Mount Dora, Fla.) was named a first-team All-American by NCBWA on Wednesday. Okey joined junior lefthander Matthew Crownover<\/a> as first-team All-Americans from the 2015 team. Crownover was named a first-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball. It marked the first time since 2006 that Clemson had multiple first-team All-Americans on one team. Crownover (Ringgold, Ga.) earned second-team All-America honors by NCBWA as well.<\/div>\n

4-star OL John Simpson takes in Clemson \u2018experience\u2019<\/a> \u2013Phil Kornblut, The State<\/p>\n

Offensive lineman John Simpson of Fort Dorchester is back home after spending three days at Clemson competing in the Dabo Swinney Football Camp.<\/p>\n

The visit was the latest in a series of visits Simpson has made to Clemson and further cemented the Tigers atop his list at this point.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
