Clemson hosts the Wofford Terriers to open the 2015 season at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 5. The last time these two teams faced was on September 10, 2011 when Tajh Boyd led Clemson to a 35-27 win in the second game of the season. Clemson would go on to win the ACC Championship that season with a victory over Virginia Tech in Charlotte.
The following week of the season, the Tigers will host the Appalachian State Mountaineers for just the fifth meeting all-time between the two programs on Saturday, September 12. Clemson currently holds the record at 4-0 all-time and will look to continue that this season. The Wofford game will be televised on the ACC Network, as well as ESPN 3 and Appalachian State will be televised on ESPN 3 only.
After a quick five-day turn around, Clemson will travel to Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium to take on the Louisville Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN. This will be Clemson’s first-ever trip to Louisville and should provide a great match-up on a Thursday night. Which, will conclude 1/4 of Clemson’s schedule.
So, Tiger fans what’s your thoughts on the two opening games of the season beginning at 12:30 p.m. I, personally, would have preferred a 3:30 start because it is a little cooler by the time the second half rolls around, but what are your thoughts on the kickoff times and the first couple of games of the year? I know Death Valley will be rocking no matter if the kickoff was at 7 p.m., 12 p.m., 12 a.m., or 3 a.m.
