Clemson went 4-0 in four games on the road last week. The Tigers rallied from a 10-0 deficit to down Furman 23-15 on Tuesday night at Fluor Field in Greenville, then swept No. 8 Florida State by a combined score of 20-7 in a three-game series in Tallahassee from Thursday to Saturday to conclude the regular season. Clemson handed the Seminoles their first three-game sweep at home since 2006 and assured its 51st consecutive winning season. Reed Rohlman went 9-for-15 (.600) with four doubles, one homer and 11 RBIs in the four games on the week. The Tigers finished fifth in the overall ACC standings and play Florida State, Louisville and the winner of the North Carolina vs. Virginia Tech play-in game in the ACC Tournament at Durham, N.C. this week.

Austin Langdale and Billy Kennerly had top 10 performances and Miller Capps had a clutch final round score of three under par 69 to lead Clemson to a fifth-place team finish at the NCAA Regional in Chapel Hill, N.C. over the weekend.  The fifth place finish among the 13 teams at the regional qualified Clemson for the NCAA National Championship tournament in Bradenton, Fla. May 29- June 3.
It marked the first time since 2010 Clemson qualified for the national tournament. The Tigers were two shots off the cutline and in sixth place entering the final round, then shot a four under par team score of 284 to finish fifth, seven shots ahead of sixth place Kennesaw State.
Langdale finished seventh with a 211 score. His tournament included a second round 68, the lowest round of his Clemson career. Kennerly finished ninth with a 213 score, including an opening round 67 that was the lowest NCAA Tournament round by any Clemson player in eight years. Capps’ final round 69 was the best score vs. par by a Clemson player in an NCAA Tournament final round since 2007.
All five Clemson golfers shot par or better in the final round, a first for the program in a regional since 2001.

The 21st-ranked Clemson women’s tennis team’s season came to an end in the NCAA Sweet 16 on Friday, May 15 when the Tigers suffered a 4-0 loss to No. 4-national seed Vanderbilt in Waco, Texas on the campus of Baylor University. It was the 10th time in the last 12 seasons that the Tigers advanced to the NCAA Round of 16. Clemson concluded the 2015 season with an 18-10 overall record. All 10 of the team’s losses came to top-25 opponents, including seven against teams ranked in the top 10. Four members of the Clemson team remain in Waco for the NCAA Singles & Doubles Championships, which begin on Wednesday, May 20. Joana Eidukonyte and Romy Koelzer are set to compete for the Tigers in the singles draw, while Beatrice Gumulya and Jessy Rompies are the No. 4-national seed in the doubles tournament. Dates, times and opponents for the individual singles and doubles brackets will be announced on Tuesday.

The Tigers finished fifth at the ACC Rowing Championship — held Friday and Saturday on Lake Hartwell — to conclude the 2015 season. Clemson finished the meet with a strong push from the First Varsity 8+, which pushed past Louisville for fourth place in the closest finish of the championship. At the conclusion of the championship, Samantha Duggan (first team) and Milena Heuer (second team) were named All-ACC.

The Clemson women made it a clean sweep in 2015, winning the ACC Outdoor Championship over the weekend in Tallahassee, Fla. It was the program’s fifth ACC Outdoor crown in the last six years. Clemson finished with 113.5 points, ahead of home standing Florida State (94.5). Three individuals and the 4×100 relay won championships, led by Natoya Goule with an ACC Championships meet record 2:01.32 in the 800 meters. The Tigers also swept the podium in the triple jump. The men’s team finished fourth, a seven-spot improvement from 2014. Tevin Hester led the way by winning the 100 and 200, en route to earning ACC MVP honors. Hester clocked an all-conditions Clemson record 9.87 in the 100 dash. The Tiger men earned four event titles in all, most by the program since 2007.
