During the 2014 season, Clemson wide receiver Artavis Scott had 47.9 percent of his 965 receiving yards in the last five games.
Artavis Scott could have a 1,000-yard season in 2015.
It’s no secret Scott will be a dangerous target this season for the Tigers offense. Scott’s performances against South Carolina and Oklahoma to finish the season placed him squarely in the spotlight as a top five receiver both in the Atlantic Coast Conference and in some cases nationally in many publications.
Scott could be on verge of Sammy Watkins-type 2015. In 2014 Scott had 76 receptions, 965 yards and eight touchdowns as a true freshman. Watkins, by comparison, had 82, 57 and 101 receptions at Clemson. Scott had 76 receptions with less time on the field and less of the offense designed around him in 2014.
You can expect that to change this year. It’s within reason to think at the end 13-14 games this season you see Scott with 80-100 receptions and more than 1,000 yards.
Scott is the grinder type who works while others sleep. Scott has spent the offseason transforming his body. Now at 5-foot-10 and 190+ pounds, Scott isn’t a receiver you can arm tackle as we saw in the North Carolina game as he drug three Tar Heels into the end zone.

So in conclusion, one No. 3, Vic Beasley has left for the Falcons but another No. 3, Scott will capture Tiger fans attention this fall.
Indeed it could be a special year for the DeShaun Watson to Scott connection.
