Worth Noting
Clemson is 5-1 all-time on May 29 with a 3-1 mark at neutral sites.
The Tigers have made two previous trips to California, both for regular-season tournaments in Fresno where they went 3-3 both times.
All four games between Clemson and Arizona State have taken place in the NCAA Tournament. The Sun Devils defeated the Tigers in the 1977 College World Series, Arizona State won both games of the 2009 Tempe Super Regional, and Clemson defeated the Sun Devils in the 2010 College World Series.
The Tigers are 9-19 all-time against current members of the Pac-12, including an 8-14 mark at neutral sites. Clemson has faced a Pac-12 member 13 times in NCAA Tournament play with a 2-11 mark in those contests.
Arizona State is 48-38 all-time against current ACC teams, including a 14-4 mark against ACC competition in NCAA Tournament play.
Jack Leggett is 6-11 all-time against Pac-12 opponents with all meetings taking place as Clemson’s head coach. Leggett is 1-6 all-time against the Pac-12 in NCAA Tournament play, including a 1-3 mark at neutral sites.
