Kelly decided to back away from his in-state Kansas State commitment in mid-March and explore more of his college options.
His offers include Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Baylor, Clemson, Colorado, Florida State, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Penn State, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Wisconsin. Clemson offered on 3/25/15.
Michigan is one school to watch since he has family in the area and his father grew up there.
Kelly got several schools attention when he measured in at 6’5″ and 230 pounds and ran a verified 4.55 40-yard dash at the Nike Dallas Regional “The Opening.” Since then, he has accepted an invite to the prestigious U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
He is also a standout basketball player who led East high to the 6A state title.
His recruiting plan is to release his top group of schools by the end of the summer.
