9 Tigers ranked in MLB Draft Top 350 Prospects
ACC pitcher of the year Matthew Crownover was listed at #343 overall
Five current Clemson baseball players were listed in Baseball America’s Top 350 prospects on Tuesday.
Second baseman Tyler Krieger was ranked #109 overall, lefty Zack Erwin came in at #117 overall, Steven Duggar was ranked at #167 overall, shortstop Eli White was at #258 overall and ACC pitcher of the year Matthew Crownover was listed at #343 overall.
Clemson has four impressive signees which includes SS Cornelius Randolph (#20 overall), SS Jalen Miller (#35 overall), RHP Jackson Kowar (#99 overall) and catcher Cal Raleigh (#199 overall).
Baseball America’s mock draft has the Kansas City Royals selecting Cornelius Randolph with the 21st overall pick in the 1st round. “The Royals have not shied away from Boras Corp. clients in the past (Luke Hochevar, Mike Moutakas, Eric Hosmer, etc.), and would have several to choose from here,” Baseball America said. “They’re most consistently tied to Georgia prep infielder Cornelius Randolph, as long as a team ahead of them isn’t lying in the weeds on the talented hitter.”
The MLB Draft will begin on June 8.
