
TheClemsonInsider.com has confirmed that West Virginia head coach Randy Mazey interviewed for the Clemson opening for the next baseball coach. Mazey was on campus at Clemson on Sunday to interview with Athletic Director Dan Radakovich.
Mazey just coached his third season at West Virginia. Mazey began his head coaching career at Charleston Southern where he was 66-94. He coached East Carolina from 2003 to 2005 with a record of 120-66-1.
Mazey played for the Tigers from 1985-88 and began his coaching career as an assistant in 1990.
Randy was 33-26 in his first season at West Virginia and 28-26 in his second. This season West Virginia was 27-27.
