Father of Dabo Swinney Passes

Clemson, S.C—Ervil Swinney, the father of Clemson Head Football Coach Dabo Swinney, passed away  Saturday afternoon in Pelham, Ala.  Mr. Swinney had been fighting cancer for some time. Dabo Swinney left Clemson late Saturday afternoon to be with his family in Alabama.  Coordinators Brent Venables, Tony Elliott and Jeff Scott will run Clemson’s practices on Saturday and Monday.  Swinney is expected to return Tuesday late afternoon. advertisement
