Wofford played Clemson in the first year of football for the Tigers in 1896 and the Terriers have been the opposition of the Tigers in two of Clemson’s undefeated football teams in 1900 and 1981. In the first year of football at Clemson, the Tigers defeated Wofford 16-0 in Spartanburg, SC on November 21, 1896. …
