Todd Bates and members of the Clemson defensive line walked off the field in New Orleans to close out last season with what Bates called a “sour taste” in their mouths after getting physically whipped by Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl. Bates knows that if the Tigers want a better result this season, it starts with being more physical upfront.
