Former Clemson defensive end Ebenezer “Ebo” Ogundeko was dismissed from Clemson’s football team on Tuesday afternoon for being arrested and charged with one count of financial transaction fraud according to multiple reports. His bond hearing is later today.
“Ebenezer OgundekoEbenezer OgundekoRS So. Defensive End#1 6-3, 250Brooklyn, NYView Full Profile has been dismissed from the Clemson football team for a violation of team rules and behavior detrimental to our football team,” Dabo Swinney said in a school release on Tuesday. “We wish him well.”
Ogundeko had 16 total snaps and five tackles at Clemson.
“I wanna thank Clemson University for giving me an opportunity to grow as a man and experience things I never thought of,” Ogundeko wrote on his Instagram account. “But unfortunately I have to move on with my life and leave Clemson.”
