Stoudt had agreed to a free agent contract with the Chargers in early May.
The Chargers made another transaction by adding quarterback Chase Rettig to their current roster.
Clemson Bio: Served as the backup quarterback behind Tajh Boyd from 2011-13 and started the majority of games in 2014 … was 277-421 passing for 2,634 yards and 17 touchdowns in 911 snaps over 35 games (eight starts) in his career … completed 65.8 percent of his passes and had a 126.5 pass efficiency rating … first in school history in completion percentage, third in interception avoidance (2.61) and ninth in passing efficiency … had 200 yards and three touchdowns on 98 carries.
