Every morning, wake up with with Rubbing the Rock as we explore some of the top Clemson Tiger stories from around the web.
As you start back work today, take a look at some of the topics going around the web surrounding the Clemson program.
Clemson Baseball: Tigers’ season comes to an end — Andrew Boardwine, RTR
The Clemson baseball team’s season came to an end by the bitter hand of defeat to the Pepperdine Waves. The Waves got out to a 7-0 lead when Hutton Moyer hit a two-run double in the top of the sixth. Things looked dim for the Tigers at that point and I would imagine many Clemson fans turned their televisions off at that point
Langdale Leads Tigers on Day One of NCAAs — ClemsonTigers.com
Bradenton, Fla.—Clemson sophomore Austin Langdale fired an even par 72 to lead Clemson to a 306 team score during the first round of the NCAA National Tournament at the Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla. Clemson is in 27th place out of 30 teams after the first day with the 18 over team score.
Feaster’s blistering time takes him all the way to Oregon — Nikki Hood, Tigernet
It’s no secret
Tavien Feaster is fast, and it only took a few hours worth of running Sunday for the 2016 Clemson commit to run himself from Columbus, Ohio to Beaverton, Oregon.
The Spartanburg (SC) running back competed in Nike’s The Opening Columbus Regional Sunday on the campus of Ohio State, accomplishing all of the goals he set for himself before making the 500-mile trek.
Second look at Clemson’s summer two-deep — Brandon Rink, Orange and White
Back in April: Mid-year enrollees Kelly Bryant (6-4 205) and Tucker Israel (5-11 190) – by all accounts – impressed, taking a lot in when it comes to absorbing the playbook and progressing on the field. Given a healthy campaign for Heisman contender Deshaun Watson, however, a max of one will play with how junior former walk-on Nick Schuessler performed in the spring. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney says he wants all four QBs to prepare like the starter, which leaves some decisions down the road, but at least one redshirt is practical and likely.
