Let’s take a look at Sean Pollard, the offensive tackle prospect out of Southern Pines, North Carolina.
The Clemson Tiger Class of 2016 already has a total of eight commits as we hit the month of June. There are still several prospects in the nation that Coach Swinney and his staff will attempt to get pledges from in the upcoming months as they begin their senior season of football. Over the rest of the summer, however, we are going to take a look at these eight men and what they could do when they arrive on campus next fall. Today, we will take a look at Sean Pollard, the offensive tackle prospect out of Southern Pines, North Carolina.

Sean Pollard is a three-star to four-star offensive tackle prospect, depending on the service you look at. When viewing his film, I honestly believe he will be a solid four-star by all services after another year of growing, working out, and being in the weight room. He has the footwork and strength to be a great lineman at the college level and, with another couple of years in the weight room, he could contribute in the Clemson offense when he arrives on campus.
He is not as fast getting off the ball at some points as, maybe, a Mitch Hyatt would be, but he is probably stronger and knows how to use his hands very well. He can also get out a run-block, which will be huge for the Tigers’ running game. I could imagine him lining up at the right tackle with Mitch Hyatt at the left tackle and you would feel pretty solid about your chances.

Overall, a very good get for the Tigers and he will only improve as he works hard over the summer. If you got to see him at The Opening, you know just how powerful and strong he can be and just what he is capable of doing against some of the premiere defensive linemen in the country.
