CLEMSON, S.C. — A group of 20 Clemson athletes traveled to Eugene, Ore., to compete in the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Wednesday through Saturday at Oregon’s Hayward Field.

The ESPN family of networks will televise the action each night, a first in NCAA Track & Field Championships history. The meet also features a different format for 2015, with men’s action on Wednesday and Friday, and women’s events Thursday and Saturday. Live updates are available at FlashResults.com.

Samantha Elliott and Tevin Hester both earned bids in multiple events. Hester is one of the favorites in both the 100 and 200 after a record-setting outdoor season for the junior. The USTFCCCA Southeast Region Men’s Track Athlete of the Year was league champion in both, and established personal bests this season, including a meet-record 20.18 in the ACC 200-meter final. Hester’s semifinals are set for 8:16 p.m. ET (100) and 9:24 (200) on Wednesday. Elliott, coming off season bests at the East Preliminary Round in both hurdle races, will compete in both semifinals on Thursday.

Natoya Goule, owner of three NCAA Championships in the 800 meters, goes after a fourth crown in the semifinal round Thursday at 8:44 p.m. Goule also runs with the women’s 4×400 relay later that evening, a group that broke the school record with a time of 3:28.59 in its last appearance.

Three field event athletes have made the trip. Shai Carpenter and Iana Amsterdam will represent the Tigers in the triple jump on Friday and Saturday, respectively. Carpenter broke the Clemson record in the event at the ACC Championships. Torian Ware, competing at the NCAA Outdoor meet for a second straight year, is entered in Friday’s men’s high jump competition at 7 p.m.
