The Clemson baseball team will play the Louisville Cardinals at 3 p.m. on Thursday for a second game in ACC Tournament Pool A play.
The Clemson Tigers will look to bounce back from a tough loss yesterday when they play the Louisville Cardinals at 3 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers lost Game One of Pool A play to the Florida State Seminoles by a score of 3-1. The Tigers could not take advantage of two opportunities in which they had the bases loaded with only one out in the top of the seventh and eighth inning. Clemson will need to win this game today to stay alive to advance to ACC Championship Game, as well as try to lock-up an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament.

Clemson will send Zach Erwin to the mound in hopes of getting a solid outing from him. The last time he pitched, he held the Florida State Seminoles scoreless through six innings before a rain delay cut his night short. Coach Leggett will need him to give the same kind of effort this afternoon in order to beat the number-one seeded Cardinals. Louisville had the day off yesterday, so they will be sending their Ace Kyle Funkhouser to the mound. Clemson will need to take advantage of his mistake pitches at the plate and continue to play error-free defense to have a shot at a victory here today.
